The Greek theatre of Hippana has been awarded the prestigious title of National Monument along with the theatre of Syracuse, Segesta, Tindari and Agira.

As reported by the Regional Councillor for Cultural Heritage and Sicilian Identity, Francesco Paolo Scarpinato,

‘this recognition not only celebrates the rich history and cultural importance of these institutions but also reflects the importance of Sicily as an open-air monument. These designations will help to preserve and enhance our extraordinary historical and artistic heritage for future generations'.
