Today, on 30th October 2024, in the room Pier Santi Mattarella, inside the Palazzo dei Normanni, a conference in two parts took place, entitled “A Cielo Aperto. Sicilia Paesaggio Museale” ( ‘Open-air. Sicily Museum Landscape’.) The first part of the day is dedicated to the theme “Museum networks and inter-institutional relationships: from opportunities to general strategy culture and tourism 4.0” followed by the inaugural ceremony of the Civic Museum Network, in the presence of mayors, museum managers, stakeholders and representatives of the institutions that strongly promoted the initiative.

Among those present, there were Paolo Amenta, President of ANCI Sicilia, Gaetano Galvagno, President of ARS, Roberto Lagalla, Mayor of Palermo, Francesco Paolo Scarpinato, Regional Councillor for Cultural Heritage, and Alessandra Priante, President of ENIT.

The day was not only a moment to celebrate the start of the network’s journey, but also a space for discussion with the institutions on the theme of culture as a lever of sustainable socio-economic development for municipalities and on the specific training of operators in the sector.
